The Sindh Government Children’s Hospital inNorth Nazimabad, Karachi has shut down due to a lack of funds.According to the channel report, the hospital, which has 100 beds, hasover 300 employees who have been working without pay for the past fivemonths.The closure of the hospital raises concerns about the potentialdeterioration of millions of rupees worth of advanced machinery receivedfrom Japan. Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the hospital Dr Muhammad Tufail statedthat the hospital will continue to face issues until the governmentprovides the necessary funds.
The hospital employees demanded the Sindh government pay their salariesimmediately.
