ISLAMABAD – Former prime minister Imran Khan and his wife Bushra Bibi are facing a new case about the illegal possession and sale of more expensive watches and souvenirs.

The country’s antigraft watchdog National Accountability Bureau started a new case of alleged Toshakhana misuse against PTI leader Imran Khan and his wife, Bushra Bibi. Former PM has been accused of unauthorized sale of valuable items like Graff and Rolex watches, diamond, and gold jewelry.

It was said that the ex-premier illegally acquired gifts and sold them without depositing in the state despository.

The report specifically mentions the sale of expensive watches without due procedure. NAB also named private appraiser who facilitated the sale of expensive watch at a significantly undervalued price, leading to only a fraction of its actual value being deposited into the government treasury.

The anti-graft nobody is now investigating to uncover the extent of Toshakhana regulations misuse and the alleged underreporting and sale of valuable gifts.

PTI founder Imran Khan and his wife, Bushra Bibi, were sentence to 14 years in jail in first Toshakhana case. He was disqualified from holding public office for 10 years.
