Sindh Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah emphasizes the importance of fostering a harmonious working relationship with the federal government, regardless of political affiliations. Speaking after participating in the senate elections, Shah draws inspiration from President Asif Ali Zardari’s leadership, advocating for mutual cooperation to address provincial challenges effectively. Shah sheds light on electoral dynamics, noting deficiencies in opponent strategies, particularly in constituency representation by the Grand Democratic Alliance (GDA).

Despite claims of defeat, he highlights logistical shortcomings within the GDA’s electoral framework. The Chief Minister underscores the strides made in enhancing law and order, citing a reduction in crimes such as kidnapping and street crime, owing to the elected government’s concerted efforts. Shah acknowledges the pivotal role of the newly appointed federal finance minister in steering the nation through its financial crisis, recognizing the urgency of stabilizing economic policies for sustainable growth. In matters of education governance, Shah pledges to address concerns such as the appointment of the chairman of the Board of Intermediate Karachi, underscoring his commitment to ensuring seamless educational operations.

Discussing the appointment of the chairman of the Indus River System Authority (IRSA), Shah highlights the institution’s autonomy and the need to safeguard its decision-making processes from federal influence.

He expresses optimism in resolving issues through constructive dialogue with the prime minister, demonstrating proactive engagement on intergovernmental matters for the collective benefit of all stakeholders.
