KARACHI – Pakistani fast bowler Naseem Shah has made a comeback after a long injury because he was seen in action bowling during a local white-ball tournament called Spartan Premier League.
Stepping onto the field to play in the local league matches, Naseem was the center of attention.
He started as the initial bowler, but his first few deliveries were not very accurate, including a wide ball that went for a boundary due to a wicketkeeper’s mistake.
However, Naseem quickly found his line and length. He threw a short delivery on his fourth ball, resulting in the batsman’s top edge going to the wicketkeeper’s hands. An enthusiastic Naseem celebrated with a leap.
The next batsman also struggled against Naseem. A well-directed delivery from the right-arm fast bowler resulted in a straight catch to a diving second slip fielder, who took two consecutive wickets off Naseem’s deliveries.
During this time, the fast-paced right-arm bowler took 2 wickets and ended up a bit expensive as he finished the match with 30 runs and 2 wickets in 3 overs.
The 20-year-old had not played since September 2023, when he left the field with a right shoulder injury after the Pakistan vs. India match in the Asia Cup Super 4 matches.
