LAHORE – Former Pakistan captain Babar Azam said that the defeat against Zimbabwe in 2022 T20 World Cup chattered him.
Babar Azam made this statement while talking about his the most emotional moment his cricket career so far in X-space.
Babar Azam said, “Many emotional moments have come. When I made my debut, becoming captain was also an emotional moment,”.
Babar said, “But the loss against Zimbabwe in the World Cup was heartbreaking,”.
The number 1 batsman in the One Day Rankings revealed his favorite innings in red-ball and white-ball cricket.
“My centuries against Australia in Brisbane in 2019 and the 196 runs in the second Test against Australia in Karachi in 2022 are my favorites,” he said.
He also said, “The 158 against England in Birmingham, and the centuries in T20 cricket against South Africa and New Zealand in white-ball cricket, are my favorites,”.
Talking about his future goals, Babar said that he wanted to win the World Cup.
“I want to play in every upcoming World Cup and help Pakistan win,” said the former captain.
Babar Azam is currently busy with Rangpur Raiders in the Bangladesh Premier League (BPL). He scored 157 runs with the help of two centuries in four innings. His average is 52.33, and he is batting at a strike rate of 112.94.
