LAHORE – The Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) has forecast mainly cold and dry weather for Lahore and most parts of Punjab during the next two days.
According to the synoptic situation, continental air prevails over most parts of Pakistan.
Under these conditions, mainly cold and dry weather is expected in most districts of Punjab including Lahore on Monday night and the following two days.
Smog/fog is likely to persist in Narowal, Sialkot, Okara, Sahiwal, Gujranwala, Lahore, Faisalabad, Toba Tek Singh, Jhang, Khanewal, Multan, Bahawalpur, Khanpur, Rahim Yar Khan, Dera Ghazi Khan and surrounding during morning/night hours.
Moderate/dense smog/fog is likely to disturb vehicular movement on portions of Motorway (Peshawar-Swabi, Pindi Bhattian-Lahore, Kallar Kahar-Pindi Bhattian, Lahore-Abdul Hakim, Sialkot-Lahore, Pindi Bhattian-Faisalabad, Faisalabad-Multan and Multan-Sukku) and National Highway.
In Lahore, minimum temperature is likely to remain between 10-12 degrees Celsius on Tuesday and 09-11 C on Wednesday.
Meanwhile, cold and dry weather prevailed over Lahore and most districts of the province during the last 24 hours.
Murree remained the coldest place in the province where mercury dropped to 04 C.
Relative humidity in the evening was recorded at 43 per cent.
In Lahore, minimum temperature was recorded at 11 C.
