Iran exported non-oil commodities valued at $8 billion to China during the first seven months of the current Iranian calendar year (March 21-October 22), the head of the Islamic Republic of Iran Customs Administration (IRICA) announced. According to Mohammad Rezvanifar, China was the top export destination of Iranian non-oil goods in the mentioned seven-month period. Also, exporting commodities valued at $10.4 billion to Iran, China was Iran’s first source of non-oil imports in the first seven months of the present year, the IRICA head announced. Based on the data previously released by China’s customs administration, the value of trade between Iran and China reached $8.540 billion in the first seven months of 2023, registering an 11 percent decline, year on year.—Tehran Times
