Elected Chairman of Tehsil Drosh Shahzada Khalid Pervaiz of Lower Chitral has resigned from his seat as a protest against non-funding by the provincial government and he also wants to resign from his party membership and join the PTI parliamentarians, In order to serve the people of Chitral in a better way.
According to detail Shahzada Khalid Pervez, chairman of Chitral Tehsil Drosh, resigned from his seat due to no fund for developmental works and no execution of transfer of power on gross root level. now he want to leave his party and join a new political party. In this regard, he also organized a consultative meeting which was presided over by Syed Ahmed Shah alias Quaid-e-Azam.
Tehsil Chairman Khalid Pervez is the son of late Prince Mohiuddin who is a big name in Chitral politics and has also been District Nazim, Member of National Assembly and Federal Minister of State who has a good vote bank. Prince Khalid Parvez participated in local bodies elections for the seat of Tehsil Drosh Chairman on the ticket of Pakistan People’s Party and was elected as Tehsil Chairman. However, he say that the provincial government has played with the elected chairman, Nazimeen,, councillors and the promises made with them regarding funding and transfer of resources to gross root level were not fulfilled and were snub by Govt badly.
Prince Khalid Pervez had called the elders of the area from Arando to Garam Chishma in this consultative meeting so that after consulting with them, he would leave his party and join the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf Parlimentarian Party of Pervez Khattak. He says that he wants to do this in the long terms benefit and interest of the people of Chitral so that he can serve the people of Chitral with the support of party that is in government in the province. He says that many mistakes have been made by us in past, especially by our voters, we elect MNAs from the opposition party in federal, and we nominate MPAs from other party against of ruling party in the province.
