PM extends best wishes to Namira for her space mission

Prime Minister Anwaar-ul-Haq Kakar has extended best wishes to Namira Salim for her upcoming Galactic 04 space mission on Friday. In a tweet Wednesday, the Prime Minister said Namira Saleem will be making history by becoming first Pakistani woman astronaut to travel to space.

He said Pakistani women are making the whole nation proud by proving their mettle as trailblazers in multiple fields. Pakistan’s first astronaut Namira Salim has started training in the United States for her space journey. She said that on the first day of training, she and other astronauts learnt about fitting spacesuits and parachutes to perfection. In her statement issued from United States, she said, “We are also trained about the functionality of our custom-made seats in the spaceship and how to fasten.—NNI
