The scintillating group stage action of the Pakistan Super League (PSL) season 8 has come to an end with the points table aptly reflecting each team’s performance.

Peshawar Zalmi and the Karachi Kings registered wins on the final day over Islamabad United and Lahore Qalandars respectively. Either side’s win changed little in the grander scheme of things but allowed the Kings to leapfrog Gladiators for fifth on the league table after a moral victory at Gaddafi Stadium.

United’s failure to win also means they will have to face Zalmi in the first eliminator after missing their chance of qualifying second.

Final PSL 8 points table:

1. Lahore Qalandars 10 7 3 0 14  0.915
