Overseas Pakistanis Commission Punjab Commissioner Passand Khan Buledi called on Senior Advisor of Federal Ombudsman Lahore Region Nadeem Ashraf in his office and discussed matters related to complaints of overseas Pakistanis pending regarding federal government departments. Member Federal Ombudsman Dr Saqib Aziz was also present on this occasion.
Talking to the OPC commissioner, Senior Advisor of Regional Office of Federal Ombudsman assured that his department will fully cooperate with the commission in resolving the issues of overseas Pakistanis.
The grievances of overseas Pakistanis related to federal government departments will be taken on priority, he added. Complaint portals of both departments shall be interlinked to ensure quick response on complaints and their redressal after the consent of the respective competent authorities.
Thanking the Senior Advisor of Regional Office of Federal Ombudsman Nadeem Ashraf, the Overseas Pakistanis Commission commissioner said that commission was mobilizing all its available resources for the redressal of grievances of overseas Pakistanis. Moreover, 45 complaints regarding federal departments including LESCO, NADRA and State Bank of Pakistan pending in the commission were being forwarded to Federal Ombudsman for necessary and early action.
Continuous coordination for speedy and fair disposal of the complaints of overseas Pakistanis shall continue and be strengthened in coming days between the two agencies, he further said.
