KARACHI – Qalandars fans exploded in joy over the weekend as Afghanistan player Rashid Khan is set to join the defending champions for the rest of the matches of the country’s flagship cricket tournament Pakistan Super League season 8.
In the latest development, Rashid Khan will join Qalandars on February 20 when the team will lock horns against Quetta Gladiators.
The upcoming clash between Qalandars and Gladiators will be a power pack action with Rashid Khan and Sri Lanka’ss Wanindu Hasaranga facing off. Both players will be available for the much-hyped game scheduled on Tuesday, February 21.
Known for being Afghanistan’s first global cricket star, Rashid amassed huge followership in Pakistan and his amazingly operative leg spin made him one of the leading bowlers in short format.
Khan missed previous matches for his national duty. Meanwhile, Qalandars are raking praises as they thumped table-toppers Multan Sultans to bag the opening match of this year’s Twenty20 league.
