Visits blast injured at LRH Peshawar

President of Pakistan Dr. Arif Alvi has paid rich tribute to the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Police in its fight against the terrorism saying the cops have rendered numerous sacrifices to purge the terrorists from the region and restore lasting peace in the province.
Dr. Arif Alvi Tuesday visited the injured of the Police Lines Peshawar deadly explosion at the Lady Reading Hospital (LRH) Peshawar that has left around hundred people mostly cops martyred and over two hundred seriously wounded. While lauding role of Law enforcement agencies in eradicating the menace of terrorism from the country Dr. Alvi highly appreciated the courage and morale of the injured cops. He also appreciated the government’s announcement of aid for victims
The President, who arrived at Lady Reading Hospital (LRH) Peshawar accompanied by the caretaker Chief Minister Azam Khan and other high-ups’ inquired about the medical facilities being provided to the blast victims. Dr. Arif Alvi went around different wards of the hospital and talked to the injured.
The president directed the hospital administration to provide the best possible medical facilities to them.
The President also talked to the woman who lost her family members and offered his condolences to them. He condemned the inhuman attack and reiterated that the sacrifices of the martyrs would not go waste.
President Alvi later had a meeting with the Caretaker Chief Minister Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Azam Khan at CM house and discussed matters relating to the province with special reference to the Law and order situation in the province. Caretaker provincial minister and former Inspector General Police Syed Masood Shah was also present on the occasion.
