Local administration in Baghlan has started the distribution of winter clothes to children in collaboration with a number of aid organizations in the province.
The children who work on the streets in the city of Pul-e-Khumri to feed their families called on aid agencies and the government to provide them with more support.
“It has been one month that my father is jobless, and I have to work in this cold weather,” said Adila, a child.

Local officials in Baghlan said they will distribute winter clothes to at least 300 children in the city of Pul-e-Khumri.
“We distribute winter clothes to children who work on streets and need help,” said Nusratullah Parsa, head of the Labor and Social Affairs Department in Baghlan.
“We distribute winter clothes to children to protect them against the cold weather,” said Sayed Kabir Sadat, the head of the United Nations Children’s Fund.
According to the United Nations Children’s Fund, nearly 15,000 children are engaged in child labor in the province.—Tolo news
