Speakers at seminar pay homage to Sheikh Tajammul-ul-Islam

Speakers at a seminar organized by Friends of Kashmir, Kashmir Media Service and National Press Club, Islamabad, paid rich tributes to Sheikh Tajammul-ul-Islam, a renowned Kashmiri scholar, great champion of Kashmir cause and Executive Director, Kashmir Media Service, on his first anniversary.

The event was attended by Hurriyat leaders, journalists and people from other walks of life. Chairperson, Friends of Kashmir, Ghazala Habib, presided over the function while former APHC-AJK Convener Muhammad Farooq Rehmani was the Guest of Honour.

The speakers including former President of Azad Jammu and Kashmir Sardar Muhammad Yaqoob Khan, on the occasion, remembered the services of Sheikh Tajammul-ul-Islam for the Kashmir cause on media front. They said that Sheikh Tajammul always stood firm in the face of oppression. He preferred to lead a migrant life but did not bow to Indian oppression. The speakers said that the deceased founded Kashmir Media Service to convey the voice of Kashmiris to the world, which has become a strong institution today.—KMS
