Land record completely computerized across province: Minister

Provincial minister for Revenue, Nawabzada Mansoor Ahmad Khan said Punjab government was taking masses serving initiatives as land records had been completely computerized across the province.

In a meeting with Sheikh Karam Elahi and Sajjad Khan at his residence, Mansoor Ahmad Khan said that computerization of land record across the province was given the top priority and the project was completed in collaboration with World Bank.

In the past, no measures were taken to eradicate patwari culture, he said and added that provincial government had taken quick practical steps to bury the 150-year-old obsolete patwar culture forever.

Copies of land records were being provided in all tehsils of 36 districts across the province without errors, Mansoor said and added that the land record of the tehsils across Punjab had been scanned and saved at all the record centers.

He said that the records of the mouzas across Punjab had been notified and issuance of documents and mutation process from all the land centres was underway smoothly.

The minister said that VIP culture was abolished at all land record centres and token system would be implemented.

Free call center service had been provided to the public in case of any kind of complaints. Separate counters had been set up for women and senior citizens in the land centres, he concluded.
