The tortured body of a private security guard was found in Surjani Town on Saturday, police said.

They said that the body of Sabeel Khan, 35, was found at a plot near Behram Goth.

Area SHO Haji Sanaullah said that an alleged land grabber had hired services of two private security guards and deputed them on the land he allegedly encroached upon.

The police took into custody the other guard for interrogation. Meanwhile a teenager was shot dead in what police suspected as a targeted attack in Landhi on Saturday evening, police said. A Korangi police spokesperson said that Ejaz Shah, 18, was gunned down by armed assailants at Landhi-89 near 17-K bus terminus.

The victim was travelling with a girl in a car when the incident took place. The body was shifted to the Jinnah Postgraduate Medical Centre.

On the other hand many parts of Landhi and Korangi remained tense on Saturday following a clash between two groups that left four persons wounded, police said.

Korangi SSP Faisal Bashir Memon said certain elements wanted to give the incident an ethnic colour but it had nothing to do with any ethnicity.

He said the incident took place because of one-wheeling by some bikers.

The police said both sides used sticks against each others at a tea shop as a result four persons sustained wounds and they were shifted to the Jinnah Postgraduate Medical Centre (JPMC) for treatment.

The police identified the victims as Waqas Khaliq, Zain Lal Khan, Shujaat Ali and Akram Kamran.

Meanwhile, the Landhi police lodged an FIR against unknown suspects on complaint of Umar Ashraf.

The complainant said that he was a businessman and lived in Cattle Colony. He said his nephew, Zain, and his friends had gone for dinner at an eatery in Landhi No 6. When they reached near Abdul Ghafoor Sweet-Wala at around 9.20pm, an unknown rickshaw driver and his accomplices attacked his nephew and others with iron rods and sticks with intention to kill them.
