DCs continues drive against profiteers

On the directives of Commissioner Karachi Muhammad Iqbal Memon all deputy commissioners of seven districts continued the campaign of action against profiteers. According to the report  of action taken by the district administrations   in all seven district  against profiteers during the last 22days (three weeks)  of holy month of Ramzan  Rs one crore 64 lakh was fined on  3620 profiteers .

As per the details of the report of deputy commissioner south Irshad Ali Sodhar, 728 profiteers were fined Rs65 lakhs 84,000. The Deputy Commissioner Central Taha salim reported that in district central fined Rs 46 lakhwas fined on 434 profiteers As per report of deputy commissioner of District Malir Irfan Salam, Rs7 lakh 82000 on 396 profiteers.

According to the report of Deputy Keamari Mukhtar Abro District Keamari imposed fine of Rs three 3 lakh 69000 was fined on 260 profiteers while the as per report of deputy commissioner Korangi Salimullah Odho district Korangi imposed 13 lakh 82000 thousand on 261 profiteersAccording to the report of Deputy Commissioner East Asif Jan Siddiqui  district East challaned 1300 profiteers  with fine of Rs. 25 lakh 38000 while Deputy commissioner west Zainul Abedin reported that district west  slapped fines worth Rs two lakh 28000  on 241 profiteers.

Commissioner Memon has asked the deputy commissioners to continue the campaign against the profiteers and ensure the efforts being carried by the city administration to provide the relief to the people especially during the month of Ramazan is successful.
