In Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir, senior APHC leader Agha Syed Hassan Al-Moosvi Al-Safvi has strongly reacted to the harassment of Kashmiri youth particularly in Hassanabad and Mir Bahri areas of Srinagar by the Indian police.

Agha Moosvi in a statement issued in Srinagar wondered that the youth were being victimized on the pretext that they were involved in sloganeering during the Muharram processions, last year, in the Srinagar areas. He strongly denounced the calling of innocent by the police to respective police stations.

The APHC leader termed the summoning the youth to the police stations and their harassment by the staff there a deliberate attempt to create a tense atmosphere in the territory. He said that efforts were being made to provoke the youth so as to arrest them.—KMS
