An accountability court on Friday heard the petition for stay order against the auction of the property owned by former prime minister Nawaz Sharif and sought further arguments from the petitioner’s counsel on next hearing on April 28.
Petitioner Qazi Misbah Advocate adopted before the court that the process of auctioning the property would be challenged if accused Nawaz Sharif re-turned to the country.
“It is better to stop the auction for a while,” he pleaded and requested that the court issue a stay order against the auction.
It merits a mention here that the court has ordered to auction the properties of former prime minister Nawaz Sharif.
However, there are petitions in the court by seven parties seeking a halt to the auction of the property.
