Islamabad: The 48th meeting of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation Council of Foreign Ministers is set to start on Tuesday, March 22. The two-day meeting of the international delegations will be carefully looked after, Foreign Office said.
In this regard, Foreign Office Spokesperson Asim Iftikhar appreciated arrangements made for the sake of the safety and security of the guest delegations.
While talking at the weekly news briefing, he termed the administrative and security arrangements that made the international delegations “flawless.”

The theme of the 48th meeting of OIC is “Partnering for Unity, Justice, and Development.” While giving his remarks on the theme of the session, the FO spokesperson said it represents our commitment to foster unity within the Ummah, advance the cause of justice for all Muslims, and promote prosperity and sustainable development for the OIC Member States.
He also said that Prime Minister Imran Khan would make a keynote address at the inaugural session.
Talking about the commitments of Pakistan to build better relations with the Muslim world, he said, Pakistan “will seek to build partnerships and bridges of cooperation across the Islamic world to promote collective interests of the Ummah and to address the myriad of challenges confronting Muslims.”
