In Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir, the All India Jatt Maha Sabha (AIJMS), staged a strong protest in Jammu against the draft proposal of Delimitation Commission.
On the directions of Ch Manmohan Singh, ac-tivists of Jatt Maha Sabha, under the leadership of Sunil Choudhary, assembled near Kunjwani Chowk in Jammu and staged the protest against Delimita-tion Commission and its architect BJP Government.
Talking to reporters, Sunil Choudhary described the draft report as discriminatory. Sunil Choudhary said that the Modi government has attempted to gag the voice of Jats by reserving and disbanding the constituencies starting from Kathua to Mendhar wherein Jatts are living in large number. He men-tioned that the RS Pura constituency was reserved for the last more than 26 years and instead of giving chance to other deserving people, Delimitation Commission preferred to keep it reserved again.
Baljeet Randhawa, Vice President AIJMS, said that it has been clearly seen that the politically mo-tivated draft report has been prepared to fulfill the desire of BJP which is scared of defeat from the people if the elections are held in IIOJK as they have failed to deliver on the ground.—KMS
