Balloting for provision of Agricultural Implements on 60 percent subsidy under promotion of “Modern Agricultural Machinery for Increase in Yield of Crops” was performed under Agricultural Engineering Field Operation Wing, Rawalpindi Agriculture Department Punjab.
Additional Deputy Commissioner (Revenue) Usman Ashraf was the chairman of the balloting committee, while Ijaz Ahmad Randawa Agricultural Engineer Field Wing Rawalpindi Division, Sadia Bano Deputy Director Agriculture (Extension) Rawalpindi and Adnan Ansar Assistant Agricultural Engineer Well Drilling were the members.
On the occasion, Rana Muhammad Asif Khan Assistant Agricultural Engineer Field Operation Rawalpindi told that 205 farmers from Rawalpindi District had applied for implements on subsidy, among which 176 were found eligible for balloting process.
He said that Rawalpindi District has been divided into 15 Marakaz. Subsidy is being provided to 03 farmers in each markaz. He told that subsidy is being given on 54 Agricultural Implements, among which forty-five are operated through tractor and nine are being operated independently.
In these agricultural implements Wheat Reaper, Seed Grader, Disc Harrow, Chiesel Plow, Rotawater e.t.c are included. Large gathering of farmers was also present on the occasion and they appreciate the step of Punjab Government for providing Agricultural Implements on subsidy.
