In Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir, the Jammu and Kashmir Democratic Freedom Party has expressed grave concern over the gross human rights violations by Indian troops in the length and breadth the territory.

The DFP spokesman in a statement issued in Srinagar said that the troops were using cordon and search operations to terrorize the innocent and hap-less civilians particularly the women and children.

“These so-called military operations cause huge inconvenience to the people especially women, children and elderly who continue to suffer terribly at the hands of Indian occupational forces during the search operations, which have become a norm in the territory,” he said.

The spokesman said, civilians are being har-assed and humiliated, whereas Kashmiri youth con-tinue to face brutal suppression of Indian military and paramilitary personnel.

He urged the world human rights bodies to take cognizance of the prevailing political and human rights situation in IIOJK saying it is high time that the right defenders across the globe should redouble their efforts to save the Kashmiris from the Indian brutalities.—KMS
