Pakistani rupee continued struggling against the US dollar in the inter-bank for the third consecutive day on Friday and depreciated by 5 more paisas (-0.03 percent).
According to the State Bank of Pakistan, the US dollar opened at Rs169.03and closed at Rs169.08.
The local unit depreciated in four out of five ses-sions during this week. Within the open market, the rupee was traded at Rs169/170 per dollar.
The Pakistani rupee shed Rs0.91 during the last five days against the US dollar, while depreciation dur-ing the fiscal year 2021-22 has been Rs11.66. The local unit has shed Rs8.81 against the US dollar in the current year 2021. —TLTP
