Says Pakistan rendered more sacrifices than any other nation for peace

Punjab Chief Minister Sardar Usman Buzdar on Monday emphasised that the situation prevailed in the country warrants unity and the spirit of brotherhood, saying it is incumbent upon everyone to help take the country forward with the power of unity.
“Regrettably, the opposition always indulged in the politics of chaos as it is only interested in the protection of self-interest.”
Chief Minister Sardar Usman Buzdar was talking with Chairman Senate Sadiq Sanjrani and Senator Abdul Qadir who called on him at his office on Monday. They discussed matters of mutual interest and overall situation of the country during the meeting.
They also thanked the CM for extending support for the development of Balochistan province. Sadiq Sanjrani also appreciated the composite development vision of chief minister.
On the occasion, Usman Buzdar maintained that the opposition parties should realize that national interest is supreme, adding that unfortunately these people are engaged in negative politics to stop the development process.
“Personal interest is worthless before national interest”, he stressed and added that the Punjab government has always taken a lead in assisting the people of Balochistan province.
The Punjab government has taken exemplary steps to promote inter-provincial harmony because progress and prosperity of Balochistan province is the development of the country”, remarked Usman Buzdar and assured to continue support for the development of Balochistan province.
On the occasion, Sadiq Sanjrani appreciated that solid steps have been taken by CM Usman Buzdar to promote inter-provincial harmony and valuable cooperation has been extended for the development of Balochistan province.
“CM Usman Buzdar has given a new roadmap for composite development in Punjab,” said Senator Abdul Qadir.
Meanwhile, in his message on International Day of Peace, Chief Minister Usman Buzdar said Pakistan is a peaceful country and Pakistanis are a peace-loving nation.
Pakistan and its people are well aware of the importance and need for peace and no other nation has sacrificed more for peace than Pakistan, CM added.
The Chief Minister further said the Pakistani nation has made history by winning the war against terrorism with great sacrifices.
Pakistan has been playing a lead role for regional and international peace efforts and its journey of peace manifests the valuable sacrifices of martyrs who were the messengers of peace and their sacrifices would never be forgotten, CM maintained.
CM said Pakistan won the peace after a long battle against extremism and terrorism while India’s extremist attitude is a threat to regional peace and Modi’s regime disrupted all peace efforts by adopting illegal measures in Occupied Jammu and Kashmir. The Chief Minister said People in Occupied Jammu and Kashmir, Palestine and other regions were aspirants of peace.
Poverty, in-justice, ignorance, deprivations, aggression, and expansionist ambitions were the biggest hurdle for maintaining peace, CM added.
Meanwhile, Chief Minister Usman Buzdar inaugurated a 5-day long anti-polio drive by administering anti-polio drops to the children at his office on Monday.
Giving necessary details, the CM said that 156,000 workers will administer anti-polio drops to 17 million children of up to 5 years of age across the province.
Hundred percent targets will be achieved during the campaign, which will continue till September 24, he said.
He asked the parliamentarians to play their role to achieve the goal of a polio-free Punjab. The field administration should strive hard to make this campaign a success and children coming from other provinces should also be administered this vaccine, he continued.
Meanwhile, CM Usman Buzdar sought a report from irrigation secretary and commissioner Bahawalpur about the breach in two canals in Rahim Yar Khan and directed to early repair it.
ON the other hand, CM Usman Buzdar sought a report from RPO Multan about the death of a minor girl due to the dogs’ attack in the vicinity of Jahanian and directed action against the accused landlord. He also extended sympathies to the bereaved family and assured them of the provision of justice.
