In Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir, the Hurriyat forum led by Mirwaiz Umar Farooq and Chairman of Tehreek-e-Muzahamat, Bilal Ahmed Sidiqui have denounced the dismissal of 11 Kashmiri government employees saying that India is using every colonial tool to suppress the brave and freedom-loving people of Kashmir.

Hurriyat forum led by Mirwaiz Umar Farooq in its statement in Srinagar said that more than twenty people have, so far, been removed from services in this whimsical manner, contrary to all norms of justice and fairness.

Those dismissed are even mostly unaware of the exact nature of the charges against them, it added

The forum said that already post August 2019 the new laws introduced and being implemented by the authorities, deprive the people of IIOJK of employment opportunities in their own land and now with such arbitrary actions, even those employed are uncertain about their future and live in fear of being removed in this abrupt manner.

It asked the authorities to revoke the authoritarian order or give those dismissed a fair chance to challenge the charges if any, levelled against them.

The forum also deeply grieved over the death of a 25 years old young woman from Kulgam who hanged herself, as her husband is in jail.

Bilal Sidiqui in a statement issued in Srinagar, reacting strongly to terminating about a dozen employees, including two sons of noted freedom leader, Syed Salahuddin, said that the New Delhi in its colonial and hegemonic approach had unleashed a reign of administrative and legal terror to terrorise people for their unflinching commitment towards the cause of freedom.

He said, every colonial power has tried each and every trick to coerce colonized and subjugated masses to submission to accept illegal occupation and colonization as their destiny but history is witness that every colonial power has failed in its colonial design.

No amount of repression can coerce brave masses of Kashmir to submit to illegal and illegitimate occupation of New Delhi, he said and added that the people would continue their just and legitimate struggle till taking it to its logical conclusion.

Meanwhile, the Convener of Tehreek-e-Hurriyat Jammu and Kashmir AJK chapter, Ghulam Muhammad Safi in a statement in Islamabad denounced the termination of 11 government employees, including the Syed Salahuddin’s illegally detained two sons and described it the worst kind of human rights violation.

He said that two sons of each APHC senior leader, Muhammad Ashraf Sehrai and Syed Salahuddin had been languishing in jails.

He added that terminating the two sons of Syed Salahuddin was condemnable. India wants to put pressure on the noted freedom leader to surrender but it would never succeed in its nefarious designs, Ghulam Muhammad Safi maintained.—KMS
