Pakistan Peoples Party Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari is currently fighting for the survival of democracy by advancing the ideology of Bibi Shaheed.
The steps taken by his party are being welcomed by the democratic circles, while opponents of democracy are happy over the break-up of the PDM.
Those who know the political history of Pakistan know that the Pakistan People’s Party is the only nationwide party in Pakistan that has made all kinds of sacrifices to maintain democratic continuity.
It must be understood by the political parties that their survival and success lies in the survival and continuity of democracy.
The country cannot afford any confrontation at the moment which will damage the democratic continuity and then all will be left with no other option but to repent.
That is why Bilawal Bhutto is preferring to fight the democratic war in the Houses of Parliament. Should also understand other major political parties.
On the other hand, the international media, while acknowledging Bilawal Bhutto’s abilities, says that at a time when Pakistan is ruled by a vindictive person who openly talks about imprisoning his opponents and beheading them.
The present government has surpassed previous governments in using institutions against opposition.
Democracy can only be saved by the political strategy of Bilawal Bhutto’s party in such a situation where the Prime Minister does not care about the problems of the people or protests and who repeatedly speaks of “one man” power.
Addressing his recent press conference, PPP Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari quoted Maulana Fazlur Rehman, head of the Opposition Parties Alliance PDM, as saying that it was his responsibility to keep all allies together and “We will not take the side of any one party.” Tensions remain within the PDM, where the PML-N is hinting at forming a forward bloc.
“We don’t need to convince anyone that the PPP has the courage to fly alone if there is an attempt to corner or put pressure on it,” he said.
Addressing the same press conference, Bilawal Bhutto also expressed the hope that Maulana Sahib would not allow the alliance to be harmed due to minor differences of opinion.
Addressing the press conference, Bilawal Bhutto said without naming any party, the parties are propagating as if the PPP has made a deal. “We do not do this kind of politics,” he said.
I don’t think we should make such false allegations. Baseless allegations are not in the interest of the opposition or any party. So I’m avoiding it too and you know we can answer everything well.
That’s why I’m not answering yet, “he said.” I don’t think anyone needs to be convinced. We formed the PDM alliance to work together on the basis of equality.
”I hope that Maulana Fazlur Rehman will recover soon so that there is an opportunity to meet him.
He is the head of the PDM, he has a very important responsibility to keep his allies together and not take the side of any one party.
Without naming the PML-N, he said, decisive statements or dictations do not work any longer, for small reasons we should not harm our original purpose for which we are all united.
Meanwhile, Saleem Mandviwala, former deputy chairman of PPP in the Senate, while talking to the media, further said that Bilawal Bhutto said that PPP wants what the PDM wants.
Whether it is the resignations, the decision taken by the PPP in the Senate or the March issue, does not mean that the PDM is in crisis. I think it will be resolved at some stage and negotiations are still going on,” he said.
“The Forward Bloc was made up of six people and they will decide where they put their sympathies”.
It is true that there has been a little bit of mistrust in the parties at the leadership level and the measures have been criticized.
When Bilawal Bhutto announced the name of Yousuf Raza Gilani for Senate, no contact was made and when Nawaz Sharif mentioned the name of Tarar Sahib, no contact was made.
At that time, had political leadership made contacts with each other the situation would have been different today.
On the future of PDM, he said that Maulana Sahib is also talking to Nawaz Sharif and Zardari Sahib and differences were not so deep to break the PDM.
Experts who keep a close eye on political mysteries say that such alliances are based on mutual interest and mutual trust.
In this regard, experts also say that the PML-N may be in a hurry to topple this government in some way, while this is not the time yet, but if this government is allowed to fall due to its poor performance, the result will be different in the future.
Bilawal Bhutto is playing the role of an intellectual in this regard who is learning from the past and moving towards the future.
At the same time, experts say that if opposition parties maintain pressure on the government’s performance while maintaining the PDM, it is expected to solve public problems, which will benefit the opposition anyway.
It will happen and their importance will also increase in the eyes of the people.
At the same time, there is a need to include the government’s poor performance, inflation, lawlessness, failed domestic and foreign policy in the manifesto of the PDM.
