Vice-Chancellor the Islamia University of Bahawalpur Prof. Dr. Athar Mahboob visited Rahim Yar Khan Campus on Saturday and reviewed the educational, developmental, and administrative activities.
The popularity and acceptance of the quality of the ongoing educational programs in the campus is very welcome.
He said that the Islamia University of Bahawalpur, Rahim Yar Khan Campus offers higher education to students from all districts of Rahim Yar Khan district as well as surrounding districts of Sindh and Balochistan.
In the past, the number of students on this campus was less than one thousand, which is a huge excess with this district with a population of millions.
Soon after taking charge of the university, he turned his attention to it and in a very short span of time, the number of students has exceeded 3,000.
In this regard, steps were taken to increase all scientific subjects and also to launch M.Phil classes. New teachers have been recruited to enhance the quality of the subjects already taught and teachers have been deployed for new programs.
Transportation facilities on campus are being enhanced and so are hostel facilities. Student Societies have been launched for sports activities as well as other co-curricular activities.
