The South African High Commissioner to Pakistan, M Madikiza, called on the Federal Minister for National Food Security and Research, Syed Fakhar Imam Thursday.
The High Commissioner talked about bringing South Africa and Pakistan closer.
While recognizing challenges to Pakistan regarding food security, the High Commissioner suggested partnerships in crop sciences, technological innovations and livestock sciences.
It was suggested by the high commissioner to set up exhibitions in South Africa.
The minister suggested the export of processed mango products from Pakistan to South Africa such as mango pulp and dehydrated mangoes.
The minister suggested an export-import relationship between the two countries as when Pakistan has it’s mango season, South Africa’s mango season is off.
