Head of Awami Muslim League of Pakistan (AMLP) and Minister for Interior Sheikh Rashid Ahmed on Saturday said that Imran Khan got new political life after getting vote of confidence from National Assembly as Prime Minister.
Speaking here at the floor of National Assembly, Sheikh Rashid said that Prime Minister Imran Khan would have to work for the uplift of the poor as he did in the past.
He said Rs. 200 billion have been disbursed during the tenure of Imran Khan among poor under Ehsaas program.
The minister said that Imran Khan did unprecedented work to uplift the economy during last two and half years and reduced the total debt and liabilities.
He said that salaried persons were facing difficulties to run their daily affairs and the government would have to work hard for uplift of poor during its remaining period.
Minister for Interior appreciated Imran Khan in handling situation after Pulwama incident through his rational approach and convincing the international world about viewpoint of Pakistan and atrocities of India in Occupied Kashmir.
He said that Armed Forces of Pakistan have been declared as professional force and ranked at 10th number in the world during the tenure of Prime Minister Imran Khan.
Imran Khan, he said, highlighted the Kashmir issue at the United Nations (UN) effectively and also protected the belief on Finality of Prophethood.
As he is protecting the belief on Finality of Prophethood, Almighty Allah will protect him, the minister concluded.
Meanwhile, Political and Economics experts here Saturday said that passing of the National Assembly’s resolution, which expressed conference in the leadership of Prime Minister Imran Khan, was a historic day in the country’s parliamentary history that would help strengthen democracy, ensure political stability and continuity of economic policies.
Mohibullah Khan, Provincial Minister for Agriculture and Livestock told that votes of confidence from National Assembly with a clear majority of 178 votes has reflected that Prime Minister Imran Khan was enjoying support and confidence of the House.
He said it would help strengthen democracy, ensures political stability and continuity of current economic and trade policies besides giving strong message to Pakistan Democratic Movement (PDM).
Misal Khan, former Information Officer said that passing of confidence resolution with majority by the National Assembly has strongly reflected that Prime Minister Imran Khan was enjoying confidence of the House and would complete its five years constitutional term.
He said passing of confidence resolution has dispelled all the impression and propaganda that Prime Minister has lost confidence of the National Assembly after Hafeez Sheikh defeat in the Senate election.
He said the decision of taking confidence vote from National Assembly has enhanced the image and political stature of the Prime Minister.
He said political stability and continuity of current economic policies was imperative for progress and prosperity of people and the country.
Economics expert, Sumbal Riaz has congratulated Prime Minister Imran Khan on passing of confidence resolution and termed it very important for ensuring economic growth and industrial development besides taking democratic system forward.
