The introduction of application to monitor working of the Assistant Commissioners has started yielding positive results as within a week of its launch, the number of Assistant Commissioners visits has increased significantly.
According to Additional Chief Secretary Irum Bukhari, it’s heartening to receive positive feedback from the Assistant Commissioners.
If we continued working with same spirit, problems of the common man will soon be resolved, she said and added that Assistant Commissioners are carrying out a commendable number of responsibilities.
She said the location of Assistant Commissioners can be marked on the map when they are on the visit for price-checking, pricing of essential commodities, inspections of land record centres, land revenue collection and retrieval of government lands.
It is an important step for the digitalization of governance as Assistant Commissioners’ presence in the field enhances the confidence of the common man, she continued.
The Karkardgi app also aims to identify and encourage the best performing tehsils while improving system transparency because serving the people is a top priority of the government.
All the technical issues will be timely resolved as it’s been a week since the app was launched, the ACS further said. In this regard, an online meeting of all the Assistant Commissioners was also held at the Additional Chief Secretary’s committee room on Thursday.
PITB officials, the Additional Chief Secretary’s office and the information and culture department also participated to discuss application related issues.
