Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leaders while trying to put a lid over their failure are boasting that the party has made debut in Kashmir by winning three DDC seats in the Valley.
An analyst while talking to a Jammu-based English daily said, “The BJP leaders in the Valley were claiming that party enjoys lot of support even in the bastions of the Kashmir centric parties and winning good number of seats in DDC polls will be a cakewalk for the party but all these claims stand punctured.”
He said, “The BJP leaders in Kashmir misled the party high command by claiming that they have succeeded in breaking the ice and the party will prove its mettle in the DDC elections.”
“The dismal performance of the party in Kashmir should serve as an eye opener for the BJP leaders who just keep on talking about Kashmir and term the region as the party’s priority,” the analyst added.
He said, “This is not for the first time that the BJP leaders in Kashmir have misled their people sitting in the national capital.It happened when the assembly elections were held in IIOJ&K and then again when the parliamentary polls were conducted.—KMS
