In Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir, the Jammu and Kashmir Muslim Personal Law Board has expressed grief over the sad demise of Mufti Nazimuddin, cousin of Grand Mufti, Nasir-ul-Islam, who passed away on Sunday.
The General Secretary of Muslim Personal Law Board, Ahmad Ayaz in a statement issued in Srinagar expressed grief over the demise of Mufti Nazimuddin and prayed for eternal peace to the deceased. He said that Mufti Nazimuddin was a noble person and well-known social activist of Kashmir.
Meanwhile, Jammu and Kashmir Muslim Personal Law Board expressed heartfelt sympathy with the bereaved family.
Meanwhile, Mufti Sahib’s passing away is a great loss to the people of J&K State in many ways. Mufti Sahib’s Healing Touch philosophy had created an atmosphere of understanding for youth as he (Mufti Sahib) wanted the youth to play a role in Nation-Building.”
“It is a natural phenomenon in politics to have differences and that is what happened in recent months, but we have to assess Mufti Sahib’s contribution in a broader frame and that way it is a time to lament his premature death as a great loss to the people of the State.
Mufti Sahib happened to be a good administrator and he had certain thoughts how to move about in future.—KMS
