LAHORE – A female student on Monday attempted to commit suicide by jumping from the fourth floor of the building.
The incident comes days after a male student, Muhammad Awais, had ended his life by jumping from the same point in the university.
The student has been shifted to the hospital where she is said to be in critical condition. Police have reached the site.

The University of Lahore administration has shut down the institutions for indefinite period as it has issued a notice in this regard.
The office of the Registrar in the notification said, “It is hereby notified for the information of all concerned that, in order to secure the campus buildings and ensure the safety and wellbeing of students, all on-campus teaching activities of the The University of Lahore shall remain suspended”.
