2 killed in Swabi violence




Two people including a Kabaddi player were killed and another injured in separate incidents of violence in different localities of Swabi on Monday. Police said that armed men sprayed bullets at two members of rival group in Dodher area of Swabi.

A young Kabaddi player Shah Faisal s/o Mufariq Shah was killed on the spot while Rifaq Ali was injured. The culprits fled the scene.

The second incident took place in Yar Hussain police station jurisdiction where accused Wakeel and Zahid gunned down Hazrat Bilal over marriage feud.

Police arrested the culprits. The bodies and injured were shifted to different hospitals and police after registering separate cases in both incidents have started investigations.

Meanwhile two youth were critically injured in collision between two over speeding motorcycles here, police said on Monday.

According to details, the accident took place at Trangri Bala Chowk in Mansehra when a motorcyclist suddenly applied brakes and another speedy motorcycle coming from behind rammed into it.

Both motorcycles were adversely damaged in the accident leaving the two motorcyclists critically injured.—INP
