‘1000 missiles are Locked and Loaded’: Trump issues stark warning to Iran over assassination threats

WASHINGTON – US President Donald Trump has issued a warning of completely decimating and destroying Iran after alleged assassination threats amid ongoing escalation in the Middle East.

In as post on Social Truth, Trump wrote: “1000 Missiles are Locked and Loaded and aimed at the Islamic Republic of Iran, with thousands of more to immediately follow, should the Iranian Government act on its threat, pronounced in many corners of the Globe, to assassinate, or attempt to assassinate, the sitting President of the United States of America, in this case, ME!”

“Orders have already been given, and the U.S. Military is ready, willing, and able, for a one year period of time, subject to extension, to completely decimate and destroy all areas of Iran,” he added.

Iranian FM Accuses US of Violating MoU, Demands Mutual Compliance

On the other hand, Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi has accused the United States of failing to uphold its commitments under a recently signed memorandum of understanding (MoU), insisting that any agreement can only succeed through reciprocal compliance.

In a post on social media, Araghchi said Iran had fulfilled its obligations under the MoU, while alleging that the US Treasury Secretary had violated Paragraph 9 of the agreement. He claimed the alleged breach was part of a broader pattern of what he described as American violations and policy missteps.

“Iran has so far kept its word,” Araghchi wrote, adding that there could only be “mutual compliance” if the agreement was to remain effective.

Mediators Make Effort to Keep MoU Alive

A new round of negotiations between the United States and Iran is expected to take place next week, with Switzerland emerging as the likely venue, according to a US news report.

The report said diplomatic efforts to ease tensions between Washington and Tehran have intensified following a pause in hostilities after two days of exchanges. Officials from Qatar, Pakistan, Egypt and Saudi Arabia reportedly held separate telephone conversations with U.S. and Iranian representatives on Wednesday in an effort to reduce tensions and encourage renewed dialogue.

Sources involved in the mediation process said the ongoing diplomatic initiative is focused on finalizing a date for the next round of technical-level talks between the two sides. The discussions are intended to address outstanding issues through diplomacy and prevent further escalation.
