KARACHI – Some relief for agricultural sector, as Faisalabad Electric Supply Company (FESCO) announced 10-day extension in electricity bill payment deadline for thousands of tube well consumers.
Under the revised schedule, tube well users can now pay their electricity bills without facing any late payment surcharges even after 10 days.
To facilitate access and ensure transparency, the power supplying company allowed updated bills to be downloaded directly from its online portal, and farmers can easily check and pay their dues.
The decision about electricity bill relaxation was officially communicated to provide financial relief to farmers struggling with economic woes during the current crop cycle.
This step is seen as a farmer-friendly initiative, aimed at easing cash flow burdens during a critical phase of the agricultural season. The extension is expected to help farmers maintain stability in their operations without the added pressure of financial penalties.
FESCO officials said the move reflects the company’s commitment to standing by farming community and responding to their seasonal challenges with practical, timely solutions.
