Training workshop


Lahore—The Small and Medium Enterprises Development Authority (SMEDA) organised a training workshop on Social Media Marketing, in collaboration with Women Chamber of Commerce and Industry (WCCI), Lahore at Aiwan-e-Iqbal Complex here on Thursday. The event was part of ‘Global Entrepreneurship Week’ celebrations. Muhammad Alamgir Chaudhry, General Manager Outreach Division of SMEDA, was the chief guest at the workshop, which was also addressed by Ms Shazia Suleman, newly-elected president and Ms Qaisra Sheikh, former president of WCCI-Lahore. Ms Tania Buttar, In-charge Women Entrepreneurship Development Cell and Areeb Masood, trainer at the workshop, also spoke on the occasion. Alamgir Chaudhry, General Manager SMEDA’s Outreach Division, apprised the participants about business development services available at SMEDA for new and existing SMEs. Responding to a proposal of WCCI-Lahore President Shazia Suleman for establishing an exclusive training centre for promoting women entrepreneurship, Alamgir Chaudhry asked the WCCI-Lahore office-bearers to submit a written proposal so as to bring the idea on ground.—APP
