Youth is the backbone of every nation and constitute the main contributor for the development of a country. In today’s era the youth are facing several problems like child labour, drug addiction, child abuse and so on. Above all, the youth in Pakistan is too backward due to negligence of the society, the parents and also government.
The youth are deprived of enabling environment of education and health that has been badly impacting their mind and working potential and capabilities. Majority of children don’t know how to read and write and are without education. More than 80% boys begin to smoke before they turn to 18 years in age. 3,768 cases of child abuse were reported in 2015 that means the number of abused children comes to 10 children per day. The rate of crimes is increasing among youth due to indifference and apathy of all concerned – in the family, in the society and in the government. I request all the contributing segments to realize their responsibilities for the betterment of the nation and the country.
