Ziauddin University confers degrees on 842 students

As many as 842 students of Ziauddin University were awarded degrees at the annual convocation. The graduating students were conferred degrees in various disciplines including medicine, dentistry, Pharm.D, physical therapy, occupational therapy, medical technology, biomedical engineering, civil engineering, electrical eng­in­ee­ring, software engineering, biotechnology, business administration, biomedical engineering technology, communications & media studies, digital media marketing, audiology & speech language therapy, ultrasonography, nursing, B.Ed, healthcare management, MS, MD, M.Phil and Ph.D. Speaking as the chief guest, Local Government Minister Nasir Shah appreciated the efforts of all the graduating students and said: “I know the road hasn’t been easy, but your efforts have paid off, and you are now equipped with the knowledge and skills to face the challenges that lie ahead. He said that it was the first priority of the government to promote higher education. “It is imperative for students to continue learning and never give up in order to be successful, professional, and progress in life.” Speaking on the occasion, ZU Chancellor Dr Asim Hussain said that it was a matter of pride for him to see the graduating students at the convocation.

He said: “We need to improve education in Pakistan by changing the old curricula.”

ZU Pro-Chancellor Dr Nida Hussain awarded Sir Ziauddin Gold Medals to the top 18 position holders for their exemplary academic performance. Earlier, ZU Vice Chancellor Dr Irfan Hyder delivered the welcome address.
