Abbotabad—A girl reportedly committed suicide shortly after she disappeared from her house for an entire day in Sajikot village.
An official of Qalandarabad police told Pakistan Observer on Monday that Abdul Shakoor, a resident of Sajikot village, said his daughter Abira Bibi, a student of class eight, went to school on Monday. However, she did not reach school and return back home until late at evening, he said. At around 7pm, she returned home and went inside her room and locked the door.
However, when she did not come out for various hours, her family members broke into the room where they found her lying in a semi-conscious condition.
They took her to Ayub Teaching Hospital where she died right after two hours. According to doctors, Abira Bibi had consumed a poisonous substance.
