Punjab Health Minister Dr. Yasmin Rashid inaugurated the new Thoracic Surgery unit at Services Hospitals here on Tuesday.
Present on the occasion were Principal Services Institute of Medical Sciences Dr. Tayyaba Wasim, MS Services Hospital Dr. Ehtasham ul Haq, Head of Department Professor Dr. Shoaib Nabi, President Chest Council Dr. Khalid, Dr. Waqas Hussain, Dr. Ahmed Ali and a large number of doctors. The organizers named the center by her name.
The Health Minister inquired from the patients about the facilities provided to the students. Principal SIMS shared the status of existing facilities and new measures at the hospital.
In her speech the Health Minister said, “I feel greatly delighted to see the provision of Thoracic surgery at the SIMS.
My gratitude to Professor Tayyaba Wasim, Professor Dr. Shoaib Nabi and Dr. Khalid. We can improve the performance of trainee doctors through quality training workshops. Record hiring of doctors have been made in our times.”
The Health Minister awarded shields to doctors after the ceremony.
Principal SIMS Dr. Tayyaba Wasim said that Dr. Yasmin Rashid remains a role model for all. She said Dr. Yasmin Rashid rendered immense services during Corona Pandemic and dengue epidemic.
She said top quality services are being provided to patients as per vision of Health Minister Dr. Yasmin Rashid. She expressed her admiration for the Health Minister especially for the Mother and Child health initiatives.
