American Consulate General in Lahore William Mckaneole visited Women University Multan today at Katchery Campus.
He was accompanied by his team members including Ms. Kathleen Gibilisco and Ms. Bryce Isham. He was welcomed by Vice Chancellor Prof Dr Uzma Quraishi and Registrar Dr. Qammar Rubab.
In special meeting with Vice Chancellor Dr. Uzma Quraishi Mr. McKaneole talked about cooperation in bilateral relations, stressed on education& research, English language courses and American scholarship.
On this occasion Mr. William said that America is helping Pakistan to improve it’s health and education facilities, rule of law, development of agriculture sector and women empowerment and ensure economic development.
It is a matter of happiness that the establishment of Women University in South Punjab is providing the best facilities of a higher education for women to get better education at their doorstep.
This historical institution has been providing high facilities of education and research for the social and economic development of this region. He said that the money donated by the people of America is being spent through the USAID mission in Pakistan.
Earlier, Vice Chancellor Professor Dr. Uzma Quraishi gave a complete briefing and told that this educational institution is taking important steps to make women confident in this region due to which women empowerment has increased.
