DISTANCING itself completely from its original claims on the ongoing conflict between Iran and Israel, the United States, for all practical purposes, has become an active party to the war of aggression against Tehran.
It is now clear that the US is hands in gloves with the Jewish state in its war crimes both in Gaza and Iran as its leadership is making no secret of their agenda to destroy Iran, humiliate the country and carry out regime change through conspiracies against its popular leaders.
Initially, Washington claimed it had no role in the illegal Jewish invasion of Iran, urging Tehran not to target its interests in the region but the latest actions and statements of President Donald Trump leave no doubt in the minds of neutral observers that the war against Iran was a joint venture.
Reports indicate the US not only closely participated in the war planning but also provided crucial military support to Tel Aviv both before and after launch of aggression against Iran.
Now the US leader, on an almost daily basis, hurls threats on Iran and on Tuesday he demanded of the country’s ‘unconditional surrender’, a proposal aimed at humiliating Iran and its leadership.
American intelligence reports contradicted the stand taken publicly by Tel Aviv and Washington that the attack was aimed at depriving Iran of its nu-clear capability as these reports suggested Iran was years away from developing a nuclear weapons.
It is now quite evident that the bogey of the nuclear programme was created as an excuse to bomb Iran as was done in the case of Iraq, which was destroyed on the plea of never to be found ‘weapons of mass destruction’.
In fact, the real objective of the war seems to be ‘regime change’ as is also confirmed by the remarks of the US President, who boasted his country knows where Ayatollah Khamenei is but will not kill him ‘for now’.
There is also a probability of the US joining the physically and analysts believe it is only waiting for Iran’s military capability softened enough not to be able to retaliate (against the US interests).
China has, therefore, aptly accused President Trump of ‘pouring oil’ on the mounting conflict after the US leader issued an extraordinary warning to residents of Tehran to evacuate.
Chinese foreign ministry spokesman Guo Jiakun said: “Fanning the flames, pouring oil, making threats and mounting pressure will not help promote the de-escalation of the situation, but will only intensify and widen the conflict”.
This is, in fact, a judgement of history.
