While addressing the participants, Shehbaz Sharif said that reforms in the power sector to provide relief to the public and ensure uninterrupted electricity supply to industries are among our top priorities.

He instructed that the second and third phases of the auction of loss-incurring GENCOs in the power sector be completed soon, and the auction process be broadcast live on media just like other privatization programs.

The prime minister further directed that the privatization process of electricity distribution companies be expedited, the establishment of electric vehicle charging stations across the country be accelerated, and work be commenced promptly on proposed projects to improve the electricity transmission and distribution system.
