Maximum Eclipse: 12:42 AM (September 22)

What is a Partial Solar Eclipse?
A partial solar eclipse occurs when the Moon passes between the Earth and the Sun, but does not completely cover the Sun. This results in only a portion of the Sun appearing to be obscured. Unlike a total eclipse, the sky does not darken completely during a partial eclipse.
These events are a reminder of the dynamic motions within our solar system and are often of great interest to scientists and skywatchers alike.
For regions where the eclipse will be visible, viewers are advised to use proper solar viewing glasses or eclipse-safe equipment to protect their eyes. Looking directly at the Sun without protection can cause serious and permanent eye damage.
