Two people were killed after a tractor-trolley fell into the Rohi drain near Gajjumata in Lahore, Police said on Wednesday.
According to police, a tractor-trolley loaded with bricks was passing through the Rohi drain when one of its tyres burst, causing the out of control vehicle to plunge into the drain.
Two people on the trolley also fell into the drain along with the vehicle.
Police said the victims suffered severe injuries after being struck by bricks and died at the spot.
The tractor-trolley driver miraculously escaped unharmed. Rescue personnel recovered the bodies of both victims from the drain.
The deceased were identified as 16-year-old Sagheer Masih and 45-year-old Tariq Masih.
