Deputy Commissioner Hafizabad Allah Ditta Warriach has said that it is top priority of the district administration and law enforcement agencies to ensure peace during holy month of Muharram-ul-Hara in the district while all officers and officials of government departments will have to perform their duties excellently during the holy month of Muharram-ul-Haram for this purpose.
He expressed these views while addressing the meeting of District Emergency Board Hafizabad held at District Complex. ADCG Hamid Nasir Goraya, ADCR Umer Farooq Warriach, AC Hafizabad Rab Nawaz Chadhar, DO Rescue 1122 Ch. Adnan Nawaz, AC Pindi Bhattian Munawar Hussain and officers of other departments attended the meeting.
DC warned that lethargic attitude and negligence of officers and officials would not tolerate at all and holidays of the staff of concerned department had been canceled during the holy month of Muharram while hundred percent staff of government departments would remain on duty during the holy month to ensure maintain peace, removing of hurdles on the way of mourner processions and at places of Majalis.
He directed the Municipal officers to ensure cleanliness on the rout of processions. He also directed the officers of PTCL, Sui Gas, Wapda to repair wires and pipelines on the rout of processions before commencement of the Holy Month of Muharram in the district. The health department will responsible to arrange first aid posts on the rout of procession and places of Majalis, he added.
