Top 10 Pakistani Cities With Fastest Internet Speeds

ISLAMABAD – A list of Pakistan’s top 10 cities ranked by the internet speed has been unveiled by PakSpeed, a local internet speed test tool.

According to the results shared by a Facebook page, Chiniot recorded the fastest average internet download speed among Pakistani cities last month, according to the latest data from PakSpeed.

The city secured the top position with an average download speed of 42.7 Mbps. Abbottabad ranked second with a download speed of 30.3 Mbps, while Gujranwala placed third with an average speed of 22.8 Mbps.

The rankings were based on internet speed tests conducted by users, with results measured through factors including download speed, upload speed, ping response time and the number of tests recorded.

According to the data, Lahore stood at fourth place with an average download speed of 22.3 Mbps, followed by Gilgit at 22.0 Mbps and Faisalabad at 21.4 Mbps.

Peshawar ranked seventh with a download speed of 21.2 Mbps, while Hyderabad secured eighth position with 20.6 Mbps. Chichawatni and Rawalpindi completed the top ten rankings with speeds of 18.7 Mbps and 18.6 Mbps, respectively.

The data also showed variations in upload speeds and ping rates among cities. Peshawar recorded the highest upload speed among the top-ranked cities at 12.1 Mbps, while Hyderabad reported the lowest ping among the top ten with 126 milliseconds.

PakSpeed noted that the figures are based on user-generated speed tests, meaning results may vary depending on the number of tests conducted, network conditions, location, timing, device used and other technical factors.

The rankings provide an overview of internet performance across different cities based on available user testing data.
